The story behind the OCtoberFast Chain

When we thought about bringing back the OctoberFast we wanted to bring it back in a fashion that gives it the potential to grow into more than what it has been. Back in the day it was a part of the Triple Cities Runners Club Grand Prix, but those days have since passed. The thing that I've always liked about this area is we have some really strong runners. Runners that may not be going to the Olympics, but all things considered are still well above average and in my book, we call them studs.  With these kind of runners in mind we decided to go bigger on the prize then is normally seen.  We contacted David Perry (luxury jewelry maker) from LA who was more than happy to oblige. I think the request was "take the blood, sweat, tears, time, and sacrifices we as runners make to stay our best melt that down, mix it with sterling silver and see what that gets you." Apparently, it gets you the OFAST Chain. And with a finish of Rhodium, this piece is meant to last through the years being worn and eventually passed on with pride to your family in the future. Hopefully the story goes with it.
